Eric is the founder of Prairieview. He opened the doors for business in the spring of 1993 after a successful career with another landscape services company. He started and developed the company on the premise that you provide what you desire to receive. It is Eric’s philosophy that providing a quality place that promotes the utilization of each associates unique skills, and their own growth on a personal and professional level, that will be the driving force of Prairieview’s success. He believes that if you provide opportunity, you will in turn receive opportunity.
Along with his other experience, Eric has an agricultural background. His family has locally been involved in the grain farming business spanning four generations. Eric has been devoted to the green industry, specifically landscape services for over 25 years in the Champaign Urbana area spanning back to 1983. Eric’s unique mix of early hands on field experience, coupled with his business knowledge allows him a comprehensive approach to the development and leadership of the company. Eric also holds a nationally recognized association as a Certified Irrigation Contractor.
Eric believes that providing the very best in products and services that meet and exceed the needs of a discerning clientele will, in return, provide for the needs of the company and it’s associates. He believes in recognizing your achievements and always seeking to improve on the current ways of doing business. Jeff Rothlisberger joined Prairieview early in 2003 as our Maintenance Superintendent. He brings 3 years of experience from a regional landscaping company and 10 years of experience from a national lawn care service. Jeff is licensed as an Illinois Commercial Applicator and is certified in both turf and ornamental pest control. With his training and experience, Jeff brings extensive knowledge and leadership in all areas of full service landscape management. His goal is to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service by providing value and quality on every job.

Bill Erickson joined Prairieview’s Design Group in 1998 and brings with him a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois as well as 25 years of experience in landscape design and installation. He is also a registered landscape architect with the State of Illinois. Bill is also certified as an Illinois Nursery Professional. He views landscape design and construction as a living art-form that must be properly understood and implemented. Bill’s personal interests are rooted in the areas of art and nature. It is his goal as a landscape architect to combine the elements from natures design palette into artistic outdoor living environments. He understands that details must be properly integrated with functions in the process of composing the final picture.

Jason graduated from the University of Illinois in the spring of 2007. Throughout college he worked with firms such as Design Workshop and Hitchcock Design Group on projects ranging from brown field development, residential planning, green designs and healing environs. In addition to formal education, he has worked in the field of landscape for 8 years for landscape companies and park districts. Jason has an extensive knowledge of plant material from his combination of formal education and fieldwork. He views all of Prairieview’s landscapes as opportunities to create personalized landscapes for clients and to provide enjoyable outdoor spaces for years to come.

Myrna first joined the Prairieview team back in1994 to fill the growing need for a full time office Manager. Over the years Myrna’s responsibilities have included Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and numerous other general office duties. He voice answering the phone has become very recognizable over the years with many of our customers. She is originally from and has lived in Monticello for the past 55 years. Her commitment has always been and continues to be to provide our customers with the very best service.
